The Napoleon Prestige 500 blends quality and performance into one package. This freestanding propane grill has four stainless steel tube burners that provide up to 48,000 BTUs of cooking power. The grill has stainless steel cooking grates with 500 square inches of main cooking area and 260 square inches across the plated steel warming area for a total of 760 square inches of cooking area. The Napoleon Jetfire ignition with crossover lighting starts each burner individually for a reliable start up every time and allows you to light all the burners at the same time. The stainless steel wave cooking grids create the trademark Napoleon sear lines and allow for better heat retention. The dual level, stainless steel, sear plates vaporize drippings, control flare ups and keep your food moist. This Prestige 500 also has a 18,000 BTU rear infrared burner and rotisserie kit for roasting and a 14,000 BTU infrared side burner for searing meats. The hood features an Accu-Probe temperature gauge, cast aluminum end caps and retains heat for oven-like performance. The SafetyGlow control knobs turn from blue to red when a burner is in use. Clean up is a cinch with the full width removable drip pan. The stainless steel grill cart features folding shelves with integrated utensil holders, double doors for storage and easy roll locking casters for moving the grill around. This Napoleon grill is manufactured in Canada.
This grill features an accessory package, which includes a grill cover, charcoal tray, rotisserie basket, and drip trays.

Napoleon Prestige and Prestige Pro grills feature a bumper to bumper lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship on major components including the hood, stainless steel lid, porcelain enamel lid, aluminum castings, stainless steel cooking grids, and stainless steel tube burners. The stainless steel sear plates, porcelain enamel cast iron grids, stainless steel infrared rotisserie, infrared bottom/side burner, and all other parts are warrantied for fifteen (15) years. Labor not included.

After 2 years of service it has served me well. My only problem has been with searing side burner and has deteriorated over time, the stainless screen has a large hole in it and the cast iron grid is falling apart so i am no longer able to use it, will have to be replaced. thinking a stainless steel cooking grate and will last forever.

Delivery was as stated, assembly was extremly easy. I am 75 year old and it took me exactly 2 hr. to put together. Assembly also gives you a sense of the quality of the materials used. So far so good, love using the grill.

Mine is 8 years old and needs its 4th manifold (ignitors fail in short order and the whole manifold must be replaced to repair). Drip pan needed replacing. Burners, vaporizer plates, flame crossovers, and regulator all need replacing. Knobs are plastic and crack after so many cycles. Door magnets rusted and no longer latch the door. Electric ignitor has failed. Tops of doors melted. Stand, shelves, etc. are 400 series stainless and do corrode. Fasteners are NOT stainless and fail. Stencils started peeling off when fairly new. A grill is only as good as its worst parts. Does the job admirably well when it is working so I'll give it two stars instead of one.

I think when someone orders a grill like this, you should give them clear understanding of how much it takes to assemble if I had to do over again, I would have went and bought a new grill where it would be assembled for me.

This is a note I have tried to send to Napoleon Support: I continue to have problems with my Napoleon Grill, the grill is 2 years old it is a Prestige 500RSIB S/N = 500-444849. One of the knobs is still not working correctly, the light on the knob does not work and the ring at the base of the knob is loose. I did speak with Daniel in support a few weeks ago, but the light no longer works. Can I please get replacement part for the light and the ring? I have also had a number of problems with the regulator, and I would like to have it replaced. It often does not allow the grill to remain hot enough and I need to reset the regulator in the middle of cooking, I have reset the regulator more times than I can count. Last night I was grilling beef filets and chicken with 4 burners on fairly high, the grill started to cool down while I was grilling and would not get hot again. Honestly, I am not happy with my purchase of this grill, I would like to replace the entire grill. My grilling experience has not been a good one since purchasing this grill. A lifetime warranty on a product that continues to fail is more effort than it is worth. Napoleon support is completely unresponsive – Zero response to warranty claims. I have tried to open multiple warranty claims only to learn after filling out the form that I needed to sign in. I was then unable to find a customer sign in page on the web site. I also waited on hold for support, I left a call back number but I have not received a call back.

Amazing grill!! Built heavily, even heat, holds heat well, even the thermometer is accurate. Killer looks, all my friends and relatives are impressed. As for me I am 70 years old, have probably owned 20 $300 to $500 dollar grills in my life, some of which I really liked, but none even comes close to this thing. Don't be like me and be so cheap that you wait till you are 70 to get one ! No way you will regret this purchase.

The Prestige® 500 RSIB works awesome! Super easy to start each burner and regulate the temperature. I am very impressed with the short time it takes to heat up (500+ degrees) and the even cooking throughout the entire grill. I had another popular brand for many years that I thought worked well but the Prestige® 500 RSIB is waaaayyy better.

Best grill I ever owned. Heats well and maintains that heat really real. Longevity will be key but so far I'm liking it. Pretty happy with my purchase.

I love this grill so much. It has great heat output, even cooking and great temperature control. I have had the grill for 2 years at this point, and I have loved every minute of it. I give it an annual deep clean and it looks like new every time.

Hi Nick. Napoleon powder-coats cold rolled steel for the black Prestige and Rogue grills. Cold-rolled steel is less expensive than stainless steel. Other than that, the grills will perform the same.

Asked by duben96 | Answered by duben96Hi: I had the very same issue two years ago. Except, I had already purchased the grill and then decided to do a built-in kitchen. I talked to Napoleon's technical people directly and they told me under no uncertain terms that the cart units are not engineered to be built-in. If built-in it would over head and burn up the wiring/electronics. I believe they do have a top that can be built in, but the cart version is not the one. I ended up having our contractor just make a space for the grill and that is just fine. Air can circulate all around the unit and it has not had any heat problems in the 2 years that we have used it. Also, I can pull the unit out to clean it and clean behind it and this is handy. I really ended up not missing built-in option. I did take one of the "table wings" off so it was more compact in the space. Hope this helps...

There is an installation video on the Napoleon website with step by step instructions. Asked by Tim | Answered by TimHi Tim. You can definitely add wood chips or chunks to the charcoal tray. If you are intending to cook over the charcoal tray, I wouldn't recommend replacing the charcoal with wood chips, just add chips to the charcoal.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
