Extend Protection Plans

You return your product, the merchant returns the money you paid for the protection plan. Depending on how much time has passed since your purchase, Extend will issue a pro-rated refund.

When filing a claim with Extend, you will simply need to provide either your contract ID, email address or another identifying piece of information.

Extend offers 2 types of coverage plans, Accidental Damage (ADH) type coverage and BASE type coverage. An ADH type coverage plan will cover accidental damage like drops, breaks, or spills as well as failure protection against mechanical, operational, or electrical failure caused by regular use of the product over time. A BASE type coverage plan will offer failure protection against failures caused by regular use, but not cover accidental damage.

Neither plan type will cover damage by animals, natural disasters, misuse, loss, or theft.

Extend offers protection plans for 1, 2, 3, and 5- year terms. The longest-term option offers the best value for the length of coverage for your product.

For ADH type coverage plans, your accidental damage protection starts on the date that your product is delivered. Failure protection begins when the OEM warranty period ends. Accidental damage and failure protection will continue through the length of the coverage term.

For BASE type coverage plans, failure protection begins when the shortest portion of the OEM warranty expires and continues through the length of the coverage term. For example, failure protection would begin when the OEM warranty goes from covering parts and labor to only covering parts.
