Steel coated with porcelain enamel inside and out, the bowl and lid of the Weber Original Kettle charcoal grill are precisely formed to allow heat to circulate evenly inside the grill and across the 363 square inches of cooking area. The black porcelain-enamel coating is baked on, fusing the finish to the steel to prevent rusting and peeling through years of use. The aluminized steel One-Touch cleaning system makes clean-up hassle free. As you rotate the handle, three blades in the bowl move ash through the vents and down into the aluminum ash catcher below. Only the unburned coals remain in the bowl and can be re-lit for your next barbecue, which helps you save money on fuel. The adjustable, no-rust aluminum top vent provides the proper airflow needed for perfect grilling, and helps you to control the temperature inside the grill. Weber Original Kettle grills also feature heavy-duty, plated steel cooking grates, two glass-reinforced nylon handles that will withstand the elements for the life of the grill, aluminum legs that elevate the grill to an ideal height for grilling and two durable all-weather wheels that are virtually indestructible and crack-proof. | Long live the weber kettle grillI had my last weber kettle grill for decades. I was pleasantly surprised by the new improvements (to me): hand guard to protect the handle, a button to hold the legs in, larger air holes, and the one-touch lever. | Forever grill!I replaced my original 22 inch Weber charcoal grill with this new one. I'm hoping it will be as good as my old one….it lasted over 25 years. Through the years, I had to replace parts, like the grill racks and the bottom vent devices. | Best of the BestHad the 22" and 18" back in the late 80's up into the 90's and loved them, just like this new 22". Really like the lower vent/ash remover, only 2 thing's I'd change is a stop for the closed position and a decent thermometer but those are a very minor issue. After years of not using a Kettle Grill my first time with the new grill was like I never quit using one, it's easy to control the heat and cooks evenly throughout the entire cooking grate.
