The Regal S 490 Pro IR Natural Gas Grill features 695 sq. in. total cooking space including the stainless steel warming rack. It also has solid 9 mm stainless steel cooking grids, the stainless steel Flav-R-Wave cooking system, four stainless steel Dual-Tube burners, stainless steel side shelves, illuminated control knobs and an enclosed cabinet base. I am torn over my new grill purchase. The grill itself provides high heat for perfect searing, and its sturdy build and clean design is a plus. However, out of the box, the igniter didn't work, leading to a frustrating start. Broil King sent a replacement (about 10 days from first contact), but without instructions for installation, resulting in a snapped wire. I'm still operating this grill with a non-working ignition and side burner: not an ideal situation for a new expensive grill! Adding to the irritation, the grill assembly instructions are complicated because of the technical drawings that try to communicate too much without words, making the setup unnecessarily time-consuming and difficult, even for someone who's patient and technical. In conclusion, this grill offers a great performance once you navigate through the initial hurdles. But, be ready for some assembly challenges and potential igniter issues.

Hi...around 30 years ago we won a Broil King Regal in a draw while living in Churchill MB (polar bear capital of the world). We now live in Selkirk MB. We still have the same Regal BBQ. Replaced the burners once and the grills a few times (thanks to the local dump!) It might look a yad worse for wear but it still performs flawlessly and cooks (and yes burns occasionally) like the trooper it is. The only real changes to it is the meat we throw on...gone are the days of moose, caribou, goose....now it is beef, pork, chicken. Anyway, thank you for a great BBQ that is standing the test of time and location. Keep up the good work Thanks John

I have a nat gas regal 4 burner. Over 1 year. It is a very good grill. I can't think of anything I would change about it, other than the silly lighted controls.

We have had our Broil King Regal 490 Pro for six years now. We are just thinking about replacing our burner grids(porcelain), burners and Flav-R-Wave skirts now. It cleaned up well again this summer and still performs/cooks well!

Love my new grill top quality very professional feeling!!! My only problem is I love to have my steaks cooked medium rare towards rare. I'm usually cooking 1 inch thick steak ribeye's. I've done as instructed in the booklet and my way of cooking around 475 -500 @ two minutes per side and then resting for a few minutes. They're just a little overcooked for me. I'm getting frustrated and wondering if I should have bought a model with the sear burner. Is it possible to add one? I have a model 490 Pro. Otherwise love this grill top quality!!!

Hi Bill. The rotisserie can hold up to 15 lbs, and you can also remove the cooking grids to add more space if need be.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
