The Flame Boss 500 temperature controller allows you to control your smoker and monitor grilling temperatures with ease. The FB-500 features a 4-line digital display for viewing cooking temperatures and navigation buttons to easily change settings. 4 probe ports allow you to monitor cooking surface temperature (1 pit probe is included), as well internal food temperatures using up to 3 meat probes (1 meat probe is included). This temperature controller is also Wi-Fi-enabled and works with the official Flame Boss app (available for iOS & Android devices) to monitor cooks away from your smoker. Connect your Google Home & Amazon Alexa accounts to check temperatures and make adjustments with voice commands. The Flame Boss efficiently controls temperatures using the included variable speed blower, automatically learning your smoker for faster results. Included manifold and mounting adapters are compatible with: Weber Smokey Mountain grills - all sizes, Char-Griller offset & barrel smokers - all sizes, Char-Broil charcoal grills - all sizes, most drum and cabinet smokers, all smokers with pipe fitting and ball-valve intake vents. Includes: Wi-Fi controller with variable speed blower, grill mounting adapter kit, (1) high temp pit probe, (1) high temp meat probe, (2) probe cord organizers and a power supply. Installation of the Flame Boss Universal Adapter Kit requires drilling a hole into your grill/smoker to bolt securely over the vent.

So i've had my Flameboss 500 for some months now, and honestly have not always used it since buying my Weber kettle. You don't really need it on a Weber kettle. Anyhow after several attempts and trying to tweak what i was going to see if i could get it to work, i've had no success. The controller is advertised as "universal" and compatible with Chargriller offset smokers. It is not or at least not with my Chargriller competition pro 8125. If use the controller to heat the griller it never gets above 200. If I heat up the griller first and use the controller to maintain temperature, it causes the temp to fall below 200. Other than the temperature monitoring features, it is a complete waste of money.

The best draft control system on the market. Whether you want to be the king of the neighbor or a competitive cooker like myself, you will not be disappointed by this controller. I have been using Flame Boss controllers on the competition circuit for many years now and will continue to use them. Having a reliable and dependable controller like the Flame Boss to keep the smokers at set point, allows us to focus on other things that we need to take care of while we are competing. While cooking at the house, if we have to take off for any reason, having the accessibility to go to the Flame Boss App and see the cook happening in real time and make any needed temperature adjustments while away, is clutch as well. The customer service is hands down the best on the market as well. If there is an issue, call em up and they will walk you through the set up, as well as any issues you may have and can correct them while you are on the phone.

Hi Mark. All of the Flame Boss units will work, but the Flame Boss 500 can be used as a stand-alone unit. all others will need to be controlled through the Flame Boss app.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
