Nothing says Southern comfort like some barbecue shrimp, and when you’ve got our signature Memphis spice rub handy, dinner couldn’t be easier. Just ask Christie Vanover of Girls Can Grill, who has created this easy 15-minute recipe by combining our rub with butter and garlic for a luscious sauce perfect for the most sumptuous Memphis-style BBQ Shrimp. A dish soon to be a staple of your weekly dinner lineup.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 stick of butter
- 2 Tbsp Memphis-style BBQ Rub
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Items You'll Need
Instructions
- Heat your grill or stove to medium heat and place a 14-inch cast iron skillet on the grate or burner. Heat the pan to around 375°F.
- Add the stick of butter and Memphis Rub. Stir to combine.
- Add the garlic and shrimp. Toss to coat and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once the shrimp is cooked through, remove from the heat and garnish with green onions.
An Extra Touch
This kind of shrimp dish pairs excellently with French bread or rice—and it takes hardly any extra effort. To toast French bread slices, simply brush them with olive oil and then grill over medium-high heat for 30-60 seconds per side. Then enjoy dipping and soaking up all that flavor!

I'm out to inspire mouthwatering food, cooked simply but masterfully from everyday ingredients. And my culinary approach is all about showcasing world cuisine through a New Orleans lens.

Now, my goal is always to empower people, and be approachable to people — and from the inside looking out, I've seen for myself that Weber really embraces that ethos.

For all the interest and accolades that anyone has for me, I owe 100% to the women who raised me. Thanks to them, today I'm the proud owner of Philips Barbecue Co., and runner-up for Netflix's American BBQ Showdown

Diva QBennett Let me tell it to you, as straight as I take my bourbon: I've been living the barbecue lifestyle for a long time now. Ever since the week I judged my first competition in 2006.
